Webinar 1. Introduction to PDF Accessibility (2019-01-17)

In this first introductory session we will cover what it means to make a PDF accessible,
how to set up Acrobat Pro DC to work on PDFs for accessibility,
and the conversion process from a source document to a PDF.

This class is for novices in PDF accessibility, those new to Acrobat Pro DC,
or those who want a refresher.

It will cover such elements as:

• Standards relevant to PDF accessibility.


• Setting up Acrobat Pro DC and the various tools
  useful in remediating inaccessible PDFs.


• The importance of an accessible source document.


• How conversion from the source document impact the accessibility of the PDF.

Webinar 2. The Basics of Remediating an Inaccessible PDF (2019-01-31)

In this session we will walk through the workflow converting a Word document
and fixing some basic tagging issues using some of the Acrobat Pro DC tools
shown in the introduction Webinar.

This class is for novices in PDF accessibility remediation or those who want a refresher.

It will cover such subjects as:

• Changing existing tags


• Creating new tags


• Working with simple lists and tables


• Tagging content as an artifact.

Webinar 3. Advanced PDF Accessibility - Complex Tables (2019-02-14)

In this session we will look at one of the more common of the more
challenging issues in remediating a PDF for accessibility, complex tables.

As this is a more advanced class,
a solid knowledge of the basics of creating accessible PDF documents is important.

In working with complex tables, some of the areas we will cover include:

• Recent updates to Acrobat Pro DC to make it easier to work with tables.


• Handling nested header cells.


• Working with upside down tables (more headers at the bottom than at the top).


• Addressing header cell IDs.

Webinar 4. Advanced PDF Accessibility - Scanned Documents & Complex Lists (2019-02-28)

This session will address a couple of the more complex issues
people frequently run into, scanned documents and complex list.

As this is a more advanced class,
a solid knowledge of the basics of creating accessible PDF documents is important.

In working with these subjects, some of the areas we will cover include:

• Text Recognition/Optical Character Recognition (OCR).


• Enhancing scanned documents.


• Logos.


• Tagging a scanned document.


• Multiple paragraphs inside one list bullet.

Webinar 5. Accessible PDF Forms - Adding Form Fields to a Tagged PDF (2019-03-14)

In this session, we will focus on adding form fields to a previously tagged PDF.

This class is for those who have some experience in working in Acrobat Pro DC
to fix inaccessible PDF documents.

The focus is on creating the form fields not creating a well-tagged PDF document.

Key elements will include:

• Choosing whether to tag before or after adding the form fields.


• The difference between auto-generating form fields vs. manually creating them.


• How to use the Prepare Form tool.


• Understanding how to correctly tag the added form fields.

Webinar 6. Accessible PDF Forms - Adding Form Fields Before Tagging (2019-03-28)

This class is for those who have some experience in working in Acrobat Pro DC
to fix inaccessible PDF documents.

The focus is on creating the form fields not creating a well-tagged PDF document.

Key elements will include:

• How the Hierarchy of Tasks applies to forms.


• Using the Prepare Form tool.


• Manually creating form fields.


• Advanced form field properties.


• Understanding the tagging issues that may need to be fixed.
